Description: In the month of April of 1970, the person in charge of the estate of Manguarra and San José, dehesa alta (Cártama), belonging to the family Tembory de la Muela, notifies the owners about the find of some ceramic fragments discovered while ploughing the land.
From that moment on, decorated bricks, Roman Imperial coins, fragments of Sigillata (stamped) pottery, common pottery and some metal pieces appeared. Judging from the find, it could have been a Roman villa.
Location: some 4 Km. From the town of Cártama, by the junction of the Guadalhorce and the Fahala rivers.
