Fifteen restaurants participated in the Gastronomic weeks that were held from October 14th to November 1st in the seven towns of the  Guadalhorce Valley (Alhaurin el Grande, Almogía, Alora, Cártama, Coin, Pizarra and Valle Abdalajís).
In this series, the focus was on the so called “spoon dishes” and fresh products from the orchards of the Guadalhorce Valley, stars of the autumn cooking in this corner of the province of Malaga. The promotion “Savor the spoon dishes and orchard products of Guadalhorce” was a great opportunity to taste the products of the Guadalhorce’s orchards or innovative versions of traditional dishes and stews such as migas (roasted breadcrumbs), “poncima» broth, Perotas soup, hervías soup, cabbage and “mashed” soups. In addition, some of the restaurants have made a strong commitment to bio cuisine, in collaboration with the Association of Organic Product Producers and Consumers of the Guadalhorce Valley, Organic Guadalhorce.
