Day of the Almonds. First Sunday in October. The event involves more than fifty exhibitors from local companies with the aim of promoting local produce and publicizes the traditions surrounding the cultivation and processing of almonds. The program of events includes tastings of almonds, almond-based desserts and sweets, Moscatel wine etc.
Threshing Festival. Early August. The people remember every summer how in old times the straw was separated from the grain by the art of threshing. This contest has three parts: the singing, threshing by roll and threshing on boards, and there is, of course, stew, “pringá” and gazpacho for all attendees.
August Fair. August 15th. Festivities in honor of the patroness, Our Lady of the Assumption, and the Patron Saints San Roque and San Sebastián. Holy Week. March- April. Easter processions in Almogía retain a number of inherited emblematic characters, actively participating in the processions of the place; we refer to Mary Magdalene, the Bellman and the Angel. These are purchased at auction during the general council of brothers on the night of Holy Wednesday.
